DUBAI – Dubai’s gold market continues to draw attention for its competitive pricing and transparent rate structure, with daily updates from the Dubai Jewellery Group guiding retail buyers.

Prices this week reflected a mix of volatility and recovery, shaped by global cues and holiday-thinned trading.

As one of the most closely watched benchmarks in the region, Dubai gold rates remain a key indicator for jewellery buyers and investors alike.

Dubai gold rates

On Friday, April 3, gold prices in Dubai moved higher compared to the previous day, despite quieter global trading due to the Good Friday holiday.

The latest rates are:

  • 24K: Dh563.50 per gram
  • 22K: Dh521.75 per gram
  • 21K: Dh500.25 per gram
  • 18K: Dh428.75 per gram
  • 14K: Dh334.50 per gram

This marks an increase from Thursday, April 2, when rates stood at Dh556.00 (24K), Dh514.75 (22K), Dh493.75 (21K), Dh423.25 (18K), and Dh330.00 (14K). The upward movement reflects a modest rebound after earlier fluctuations.

Weekly trend

Dubai gold prices have moved in a fluctuating pattern throughout the week, with noticeable highs and dips.

  • Wednesday, April 1: 24K at Dh567.00
  • Tuesday, March 31: 24K at Dh549.75
  • Monday, March 30: 24K at Dh542.00

The week began at Dh542.00 for 24K gold on Monday, before climbing steadily to Wednesday’s peak of Dh567.00. Prices then dipped on Thursday before recovering again on Friday to Dh563.50, remaining just below the weekly high.

Similar movements were recorded across all other purities, with 22K rising from Dh501.75 on Monday to Dh525.25 on Wednesday, before settling at Dh521.75 by Friday. Lower karats such as 18K and 14K followed the same trajectory, reflecting broader market sentiment.

Global markets

International markets also showed slight gains, with spot gold trading at $4,676.4 per ounce, up 0.51 percent. Silver prices rose by 0.28 percent to $72.99 per ounce, aligning with the broader upward movement in precious metals.

Trading activity remained subdued due to the Good Friday holiday, with most global markets closed. Gold continues to hover below the $4,800 resistance level after pulling back from recent highs, while maintaining support around the $4,600 range.
